21 July 2010 Hi Don, Just wanted to say thanks for the Reiju yesterday afternoon. I know there is not a "typical" experience of this; I will share a bit of mine. Even though our session did not officially start until 2:00 p.m., I started getting intuitive hits starting yesterday morning; I feel these were connected to the Reiju. About quarter of two, I settled down and got quiet and centered. I didn't do Hatsurei-ho beforehand, I just wanted to experience the reiju by itself. At 1:51 p.m., I started to feel energy coming in. I was aware of energy all around my body. Perhaps feeling my energetic body? It felt as if there was something thick and electrical about an inch off my body. That feeling subsided somewhat and then was followed by another generalized pulse of energy at 1:56 p.m. At 2:00 p.m., I sat with hands in gassho position. I started to feel an intense energy coming into my crown chakra. Not an unpleasant sensation, but intense. Kind of warm and buzzy. Very vibratory. This persisted for a while, then the sensation moved into my third eye chakra. It stayed here the longest. I could feel this vibratory energy in my third eye area, then behind my physical eyes and in my nasal sinuses. After a bit, the buzzing sensation moved into my throat chakra. It was warm and pleasant, not so intense as when it was in my third eye area. Then the sensation moved back into my third eye/sinus area and was very pronounced. I remember you talking about kotodama, these primordial sounds that cause things to come into being. The vibration behind my sinuses was very intense and I knew that this energy was also sound waves, just inaudible to me. I could feel it more than hear it. I got the inspiration to put on my iPod at this moment and listen to the tone that Jim had made for me. (A friend of mine, Jim Mikkalson, creates tones for people. When you work with him, you get "your" tone.) I played this for the remainder of the Reiju experience. I felt that I should learn to give Reiju myself. Prior to doing Reiju, the recipient would have a session with Jim to get his/her tone. This tone would be played during the Reiju session. And the person could sit outside barefoot, in a lawn chair ... very grounding! I continued to get intuitive hits during the Reiju. Then at the end, I had a feeling of warmth spread down through my heart chakra and into my torso. I had a feeling of energy radiating out from my heart chakra, as if it were a radio antenna. I felt later when I was doing self-Reiki yesterday evening, that my Reiki energy was a bit stronger. So that's it! I will probably want to do another Reiju session in a week or so. Thank you very much for this. Namaste,
Laura J. Wilson 22 July 2010 I will say that, since the reiju on Tuesday, my own Reiki has felt very intense. I did some self-Reiki last night. Really I was just intending to do the hatsurei-ho meditation. I started out as I usually do but I kept having to stop because it just felt so intense! I didn't want to rush anything. So I kind of sat there in this altered-state. Again, a very strong sensation in my third-eye chakra especially. Both the energy I was receiving and the energy that seemed to be beaming from me felt very strong. I felt very much held within the Divine Presence during this! I keep using words like "strong" and "intense" which don't do this experience justice. Language does not express the ineffable, does it? |
Reiju and the mysterious workings of Time When giving Reiju, I always do it in "real time" if I can; that is, I find out the difference in Time Zones between the Reiju recipient and me, then I start doing Reiju at the actual moment the recipient has agreed to receive it. That was my intention in this case — to start the Reiju at 1:00 p.m. my time, which was 2:00 p.m. in New Mexico. But I got busy at the computer and forgot. I remembered the Reiju at 1:38. Then I remembered something else, which I had intended to do at 1:30... : ^ ! So, I did that — and when I finished it, I looked at the computer clock again. It showed 1:50. I moved a few feet away and sat down and started doing the Reiju for Laura in New Mexico. I was still intending, of course, that she perceive it starting at 2:00 ... but she started feeling it at 1:51...! How can we explain that? Was it just a random coincidence that she began feeling the Reiju at 1:51 in New Mexico and that I began "sending" it at 1:51 (or maybe 1:50) in Arizona? Or, did the time on the clock somehow overrule my intent (that she perceive the Reiju starting at 2:00) and cause her to begin feeling the energy when her clock showed the same time as mine — even though she was actually feeling the Reiju an hour before I started "sending" it...? |
